FF80 and Vista
One of my clients came back from vacation to find a new computer (running Vista) at her workstation with many of the programs she previously used not working (surprise!).  One of those was a VFP6 app that used FF60.  Both the app and FF60 had problems running properly on Vista.  I upgraded the application to VFP9 (solved two problems) and then upgraded them to FF80.

We have two issues in that installation (seperate support email conversation) so I decided to install FF80 on my laptop that runs Vista Home Premium  to see what happens.  The user on each machine is an Administrator.

I get one of the two errors which is....

"Could not set Command Bars License key value. Application cannot continue"

I click the OK button, the message appears a second time and then seems to work (I haven't tried much, just running a few reports and modifying one).

While this is not preventing my client from working it is annoying.

Thanks

Re: FF80 and Vista
We haven't seen that error with our tests with Vista however, we will take a further look.

The error message is displayed when Foxfire! is unable to write a value to the system registry to set up the menu and toolbars.

I will get it updated by Monday so that the message is not as intrusive while looking into the problem.
