Command Line Arguments

I have read elsewhere in the forum that there are command line arguments that can be used with startff.exe which I assume is the executable for FoxFire 8+. I am running FF 6.06 and have the ffstart.exe executable. I would like to know if there are command line arguments I can use and what the syntax is for those.

Thank you

FFSTART
StartFF and FFstart are two different types of programs. There is currently no equivalent to StartFF for Foxfire! 6+, although you can easily create one by looking at the source for FFSTART and modifying it to suit your needs.

Are you calling Foxfire! from within your own FoxPro application? If so, you are likely familiar with some of the calling methods for it.

FFSTART is the starting program for 6.0 that loads Foxfire! with the Sample Preference Set loaded, and it opens up the Cars database and related files, and launches Foxfire! as a SYSTEM ADMIN user. There are no parameters for FFSTART.

STARTFF is a program that receives parameters which set the current user's directory, specifies a particular user name, report set, and, if specified report to run. However, it essentially calls Foxfire! with the same commands that would be used from within an existing application.

You *may* be able to use STARTFF with Foxfire! 6 since the calls are effectively the same - so I have attached the Source code for STARTFF here.

Let me know if you have any problems with it.
